The ALTER EGO comic book is about to return!

ROY THOMAS and RON HARRIS have started working on three brand-new issues. And this time when young Rob Lindsay once again dons the mystic mask that transforms him into the world's greatest hero, he'll find himself in the worlds of Funny Animals, Teen Romance, and Supernatural Horror.

ROY THOMAS was active in the comics fan movement of the early 1960s, serving as official "co-editor" of the early fanzine Alter Ego and publishing/editing it himself from 1964-65. He has been a writer and often editor in the comic book field since 1965, when he became a staff writer and editorial assistant at Marvel under Stan Lee. From 1972 to 1974 he was Marvel's editor-in-chief, as successor to Lee. He co-created many popular characters including Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Morbius and Vision with notable runs on The Avengers, The X-Men, Conan the Barbarian, Star Wars, and (at DC in the 1980s) All-Star Squadron and Infinity, Inc. He was elected to the Will Eisner Hall of Fame in 2011, and has won various fan and professional awards over the years. He also co-wrote two films and a smidgin of TV. He is the author of the giant Taschen volumes 75 Years of Marvel: From the Golden Age to the Silver Screen and The Stan Lee Story, and has edited and compiled numerous volumes of Golden Age collections for PS Artbooks and the Folio Society. Most recently he was the writer of a two-issue Marvel series X-Men Legends.

RON HARRIS has been hooked on making comics all his life, starting with s-f strips scrawled on the backs of discarded pages his father brought home from work. His first paid work appeared in Bob Sidebottom's semi-underground Barbarian Comics. After several years of freelancing Ron was hired to draw the Dallas and Star Trek newspaper strips for the Los Angeles Times syndicate. Moving over to comic books he wrote and drew the retro-tech miniseries Crash Ryan for Marvel. With Roy Thomas he co-created and drew Alter Ego for First Comics. Ron went on to contribute to some of Roy's other projects including Infinity, Inc. and Young All-Stars. In the following years he drew backgrounds and storyboards for TV animation, boarded effects sequences for feature films, and created in-store artwork for a specialty grocery chain. In his spare time Ron wanders the Internet's byways seeking out obscure old comics both domestic and foreign.
